Gladys Carolyn Oney

1949-2015

Gladys Carolyn Oney, 65, of Olive Hill passed away Friday afternoon February 13, 2015 at the Markey Cancer Center in Lexington, KY. She was born November 27, 1949 in Olive Hill, KY a daughter of the late Jessie Arvil Oney and Alpha Tackett Oney. She was of the Protestant Faith.

Carolyn loved to Travel and deeply loved her family, her children and her grandchildren. She was retired from the Former Oney-Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill, KY where she was the secretary for many years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Vivian Carter and Anna Ruth Webb; infant brother, Larry Dale Oney; and a sister-in-law Mildred Oney.

Carolyn is survived by one daughter, Camillia Dawn (Brian) Holley of North Carolina; one son, Duane Allen (Michelle) Biggs of Olive Hill, KY; two sister’s Mary Lois (Ramah) McKenzie of Ypsilanti, MI, and Wanda Louise (Earnest) Davis of Lavalette W.Va.; Three brothers, Farris Oney of Olive Hill, KY, Everett Lee (Jean) Oney , and Charles Denver(Shirley) Oney all of Olive Hill, KY; six grandchildren, Larisa (Josh) Tackett, Leah (Jeremy) Bryant, Kagan Holley, Kyah Holley, Seth Biggs, Brittany (Justin) Jones; two great-grandchildren, Abigail Tackett, and Willow Bryant and one daughter-In-law, Nellie Middleton of Olive Hill, KY;  also surviving , her Special companion, Norman Kiser of Olive Hill, KY.

In addition to these Carolyn leaves numerous friends and Relatives that sadly mourn her passing.
