William H. “Bill” Tackett

1937-2019

William H. “Bill” Tackett, 82, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at his residence.  He was born at home in Olive Hill, KY, February 2, 1937, a son of the late Everett and Jewell Fannin Tackett.

Mr. Tackett, a veteran, proudly served his country for four years in the United States Air Force. Bill was of the Christian faith and enjoyed horses, his grandkids and great-grandkids and loved spending time with his family.  He was employed by General Refactories in Olive Hill and, in addition, ran Bill’s Body Shop for 35 years.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Pamela Lou and Deidre Lynn; two sisters, Joline Furnish and Alice Gail Rogers; two brothers, Roy Tackett and Russell Tackett; one grandson, Christopher Michael Adkins; and his mother and father in-law, Lonnie and Ruby Jessie.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Sue Jessie Tackett; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Tackett; three sisters, Juanita Oney of Hamilton, OH, Phylliss Osborne of Winchester, KY and Alma Jean Reid of Marysville, OH; two granddaughters, Kristi Jo Adkins (Joe Hall) and Kelli Leanne Adkins Stapleton (David McCoy); and three great-grandchildren, Haylee RayAnn Hall, Jayce Allen Hall and Christopher Aaron McCoy. He also leaves behind a host of relatives and friends that will greatly miss him.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bro. J.C. Bond and Bro. Terry Dean officiating. Private interment on Wednesday, April 24, 2019.

Friends may visit from 5:00pm until the time of service, Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service located at 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
