Virginia “Ginny” Doris Burns Gee
1934-2019
Virginia “Ginny” Doris Gee, 84, of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest, Friday evening, November 8, 2019 at St. Claire Healthcare in Morehead, KY. Ginny was born December 23, 1934 on Clark Hill in Olive Hill, KY a daughter of the late James and Claudia Collins Burns.
She was a Christian and a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and homemaker, who loved to fish no matter the day or weather. She loved going to yard sales, and was always looking for a good bargain. She enjoyed singing, being out-doors, flowers of all types, good food, candy and watching the “The Price is Right". Most of all she dearly loved her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Harold “Tweedy” Gee in 2015; one infant son, John Edward Gee; one granddaughter, Amelia Amy Gee; one brother, Kenneth Burns; and one sister, June Burns Marsh.
Ginny is survived by eleven children: Bonnie Kelly; Harold Brent Gee and his wife, Karen; David Gee; Beverly Gee Shell; James Gee and his wife, Betty Sue; Betty Lou Adams and Joe; Susan Callihan; Kendall Gee and Lakin; Jeanie Gee; Connie Woosley and her husband, Robert Jeff; and Kimberly Shrout and her husband, Ron; two sisters, Ruby Burns Delaney (Jan) and Dorothy Burns Clevenger; one special friend whom she considered a daughter, Jewell Rice; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who will sorely miss her.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 AM Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Olive Hill, KY with Stephen Gee officiating. Burial will follow in the Tick Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill, KY.
Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 PM Monday, November 11, 2019 and 9-10:30 AM Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY.
