Tommy Jay Reynolds

Tommy Jay Reynolds, age 70 of Olive Hill, KY passed away unexpectedly, Thursday morning April 30, 2026, near Maysville, KY while hauling a load. He was born November 20, 1955, in Morehead, KY a son of the late Davis and Lennie Trent Reynolds.

Tommy went through the 8th Grade and then went to work. He started driving a truck and hauling coal when he was 15 years old, later he went on to found Reynolds Lumber Co, Inc., which he owned and operated for 43 years. He enjoyed working on equipment, and trucks, being partial to Dodge Ram Trucks and Peterbilt Trucks. He loved animals and his companion Beagle. Tommy was of the Christian Faith  and had a heart of gold, helping anyone he could.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter Catherine Ann Reynolds and one son T.J. Reynolds; four sisters Berthie Faye Purnell, Glenna Kay Blutler, Linda May Conn, and Joyce Lee Conn; one brother Glennis Ray “Penny” Reynolds; and his mother-in-law Alfreda Cox.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Donna Cox Reynolds, one daughter, Trina Renee Reynolds; three sisters Gracie Ellen DeHart, Patty Ethel Mabry, Pammy Lou Kissinger; two brothers Jimmy Davis Reynolds, Bobby Joe “Farmer Bob” Reynolds; four grandchildren, Joshlyn Hollingsworth, Nathan Hollingsworth, Alexa Reynolds and Hailey Bear; two great grand Children, Kolter Middleton and Crimson Middleton. In addition to these he is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends that will cherish his memory.

Graveside Services will be conducted 1:00 PM on Tuesday May 5, 2026, at the Reynolds Cemetery with Bro. Gary Sparks Officiating. Burial will follow in the Reynolds Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6:00PM – 8:00 PM Monday May 4, 2026, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164

Pall bearers will be John Stanton, Ryan Carter, Willy Adkins, Glennis Manning, Sonny Kissinger, Trevor Middleton, Nathan Hollingsworth, and Aaron Vance.

Honorary Pallbearers will, Jackson Vance, Donnie Waddell, and Chris Porter.
