Tommy Jennings Windon Jr., age 84, of Mt. Sterling, KY entered into rest Thursday Morning, June 6, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 24, 1939, in Charmco, WV, a son of the late Tommy Jennings Windon Sr. and Aretta Fridley Windon.
Tommy graduated top of his class at Greenbrier West High school. He was a foreman for many years in Highway Construction working for Hinkle and the N.H. Stone Company and retiring from Flenco. Tommy loved to mow grass, fishing, cooking and picking on people He loved the LORD and being active and singing in Howards Mill First Church of God where he had been a member for 12 Years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Loving wife of 67 years, Erma Lou Clemons Windon; one son Greg Windon; one grandson, Preston King; and one brother Bud Windon.
He is survived by three daughters, Sheila Stacy and her Husband Earl of Mt. Sterling, KY, Tina Neal and her husband Phillip, of Jeffersonville, KY, Lynn Vinson and her husband David of Owingsville, KY; one daughter-in-law, Amy Windon of Mt. Sterling, KY; one sister, Vickie Adkins of Charmco, WV; two brothers Randall Windon and his wife Doris, Danny Windon and his wife Johnetta both of Rainelle, WV; eight grandchildren, Kristy Fleshman and RC, Stefanie Back, Melissa and Josh Stigall, Maria and Jon Brown, Heather and Kellon Crager, Carlee and Dale Hollon, Chelsea and Bryce Amburgey and Erin Windon; twelve great-grandchildren, Mackenzie King, Ryder Fleshman, Colt Fleshman, Zoey Stigall, Emery Stigall, Caley McKinney, Katie Clay Reffit, Asher Holland, Millie Holland, Whitt Brown, Jackson Brown, Noah Brown, Grayson Brown, Max Brown. In addition to these he is survived by a host of Relatives, Friends and Church Family that will cherish his Memory.
Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday June 11, 2024, at the Howards Mill First Church of God in Mt. Sterling, KY with Bro. William D. Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Machpelah Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, KY.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Tuesday June 11, 2024, at the Howards Mill First Church of God, 4367 Howards Mill Road, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
Pallbearers will be John Brown, Mackenzie King, Josh Stigall, R.C. Fleshman, David Vinson, Buck Ritchie.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenny Smith and Ron Montgomery.
