Tammy Sue Stevens Barker, 60, of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest Monday afternoon, May 15, 2023 at Cornerstone Specialty Hospital in Huntington, WV. She was born June 6, 1962 in Ashland, KY; a daughter of Dora Hamilton Stevens and the late Donald E. Stevens.

Tammy was of the Freewill Baptist faith. In addition to enjoying living on the farm, spending time with her family, and enjoying her flowers, especially her roses and marigolds; she was very actively involved in numerous community groups. She happily engaged in fundraising and support of the various activities of the Shrinettes, Shriner’s International, Carter County Shrine Club, Women’s Auxillary of the American Legion, and Krazy Ladies Supporting Kids. Tammy was also deeply committed to her bluegrass family and helping to organize the Carter County Shrine Club Bluegrass Festival. She loved being involved in her community.

In addition to her mother, Tammy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Thomas Ryan Barker; one son, Dylan Ryan Barker; two sisters, Donna “Jeanie” Stevens Masters of Louisville, KY, and Vicky Lynn Stevens of Lexington, KY; and two brothers, Ronnie “Pud” (Debbie) Fisher, and Danny (Dianne) Stevens of Ashland, KY. In addition to these, she leaves behind her bluegrass family, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will greatly miss her and cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Friday, May 19, 2023 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bro. Gary Sparks officiating.  Burial will follow at the Olive Hill Memorial Park.

Friends may visit 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Thursday, May 18, 2023; and 9:00 AM until the time of service, Friday, May 19, 2023 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY.
