Stevie Elwood Gilliam age 70, of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest Wednesday evening October 15, 2025, at his residence. He was born August 22, 1955, in Morehead, KY a son of the late Emil and Ruth Mabry Gilliam.
Stevie attended the Porter Creek Church of God and was a retired Construction worker. He love spending time with his family and loafing with his friends at the gas stations in Olive Hill, he especially enjoyed a good cup of coffee and his cigarettes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Workman Gilliam in 2018; three brothers Roger Gilliam, Emil (Eddie) Gilliam Jr and Carl Gilliam.
He is survived one son Steven Russell Gilliam, two sisters Beverly Oakley and Linda Sue (Joe) Povinelli; one brother Charles “Starkey” (Iris) Gilliam; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of friends that will cherish his memory.
Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday October 20, 2025, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation service with Brother Vaughn Thornsberry and Summar Oakley officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilliam Cemetery in Olive Hill, KY.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sunday October 19, 2025, and after 10:00 AM Monday at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164
Pallbearers will be Steven Russell Gilliam, Chris Oakley, Christopher Oakley, Summar Oakley, Jazlyn Oakley and Shawn Gilliam.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Elbert Cole, Jackie Brown, Randall Porter, Starkey Gilliam, Joe Povinelli, Donna Oakley and Donna Shoemaker.
