Sheila Bocook Stevens Oney, 56, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Community Care Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY.  She was born August 18, 1962 in Ashland, KY, a daughter of the late Cleotis “Bo” and Delores Jean Wagoner Bocook .

Mrs. Oney was employed as a driver by Olive Hill Trucking for 18 years, where she was lovingly known as the “Truck Boss”. Sheila attended Garvin Ridge Wesleyan Church and was very involved in community organizations.  She was a past President and current member of Olive Hill American Legion Auxilliary Post 138 and an active supporter of the Carter County Shrine Club and El Hasa Shrine Temple. She loved Bluegrass, camping, karaoke, visiting Gatlinburg, and going to the lake with Mark and Shirley Brown. Sheila especially loved family gatherings, where she was the official BBQ smoker.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was preceded in death by two husbands; Keith Biggs and Larry Keith Stevens; one brother, Tommy Bocook; and her “furbaby”, Mo.

Sheila is survived by her husband, Gary Oney; one daughter, Tena (Lee) Scaggs; two sons, Zachary Keith (Miranda) Stevens and Kristopher (Kara) Oney; six brothers and sisters, Joyce Bocook (Harry) Justice, Gregg (Margaret) Bocook, Karen Bocook Logan, Kavon (Angela) Bocook, Phyllis Ann Bocook (Virgil) Tackett and Larry Jessee; eight grandchildren, Michael Scaggs, Eric Scaggs, Anthony Scaggs, Whitney Stevens, Cameron Stevens, Jonathon Binion, Kendall Oney and Kassity Oney; one special “furbaby”, Dobie; and two special friends, Mark & Shirley Brown. She also leaves behind many other family and friends who will greatly miss her.

The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Vernon Adkins, Jeff Adkins and everyone at Olive Hill Trucking for their many years of support and friendship.

Serving as pallbearers; Lee Scaggs, Michael Scaggs, Chris Bocook, Clint Davis, Rex Parsons, Greg Bocook, Jr., and Carl Steagall.  Serving as honorary pallbearers; Doug Duncan, Cameron Stevens, Eric Scaggs, Anthony Scaggs, Steve Justice, Keith Kilgore and special customers and co-workers Bill Cassidy, David Ruth, and Carter County Shrine Park.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Olive Hill Memorial Park.
