Sandra Darlene Huff Cales
1964 – 2026
Sandra Darlene Huff Cales, 61, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest Monday morning, March 9, 2026, at her residence. She was born October 30, 1964, in Harlan, KY to the late Robert Clark Huff and Wilma Jean Rigney Huff.
Sandra will be remembered as a loving mother and a devoted grandmother who found her greatest joy in her family. She loved deeply and generously, and those closest to her always knew the strength of her care and devotion.
A lifetime learner, Sandra had a remarkable talent for working with her hands. She especially loved woodworking, a gift she inherited from her grandfather, a true craftsman. With an intuitive eye, she could watch someone demonstrate a skill once and then recreate it herself with ease.
She found peace and happiness in the simple pleasures of life - spending time outdoors, enjoying the companionship of her beloved dogs, and relaxing with her favorite Asian films. Her curiosity, creativity, and strength shaped the way she lived and the memories she leaves behind.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Jack Cales.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 40 years, Paul Cales, one daughter, Cassie Cales; one son, Jacob Cales; two grandchildren, Ezra Paul Duffy and Chaney Jean Duffy; one sister, Frankie (Bob) Nolan of Paris, TN; one brother, Jason (Michelle) Huff; her mother-in-law, Joyce Cales, one sister-in-law, Joy (Steve) Corbin, two brothers-in-law, Jeff (Heather) Cales and Jon (Becky) Cales, and good friend, James Munro. In addition to these, she leaves behind a host of other family and friends who will greatly miss her and cherish her memory.
In keeping with Sandra’s wishes there will be no public services at this time. A celebration of remembrance will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY.
