Robin Kay King

Robin Kay King, age 66, of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest March 19, 2025, at UK King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. She was born November 10, 1958, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, a daughter of the late Henry Robert and Bonnie Jean Marie London Jenkins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Robert Jenkins and one nephew Josh Jenkins. 

Robin worked as a car hop for James Drive-In in her early years and then went to work in the local sewing factories where she was a seamstress. Later, she worked in the deli for IGA, which later became Superiors.

Robin was of the Baptist faith, who loved sewing and cooking for her family. She also enjoyed yard sales and writing songs and especially spending time with her beloved grandbabies.

Robin is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, J. D. King; her daughter, Julia Marie King; her three sons and two daughters-in-law, James David and Priscilla King, Wayson Cooper and Nancy King, Wylie Edward King; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Debbie Jenkins (Ernie Conn), Joan and Fred Cook, Donna and Chuck Hunget, Sharon and Danny Henderson; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Mike Jenkins, Gary and Karen Jenkins; two grandchildren, Emery Cooper King and Elyot James King.

Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00AM Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Duvall & Moore Funeral Home in Olive Hill, KY with Bro. Haskell Dailey Jr.  and Jon Carroll. Officiating. Burial will follow in the King Cemetery in Olive Hill.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
