Robert Philip Shepherd

Robert Philip Shepherd, age 80, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. He was born January 13, 1944 in Clarksville, IN a son of the late Raymond and Aileen Owen Shepherd.

Phil was of the Christian faith, he was United States Army Veteran serving at Ft. Knox during the Vietnam conflict. He retired from General Electric in Louisville, KY after 35 years of service.  and he enjoyed fishing and going to car shows.  He also enjoyed feeding others and was a good cook.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Philpot; and one brother, Richard Shepherd; two brothers-in-law Ray Yocum, Rowdy (Roderick) Tindle and a nephew Doug Yocum 

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Katherine Wright Boggs Shepherd; three sons, Heath (Brianna) Boggs, Nick (Jessica) Boggs, and Jared (Amanda) Boggs all of Olive Hill, KY ; three sisters, Wanda Yocum of  Scottsburg, IN , Carla (Danny) Case, Marsha (Neil) Keaton both of both of Bloomfield, KY; one brother, David (Ceely) Shepherd of St. Augustine, FL; and six grandchildren, Seth, Jayden, Kole, Landon, Sammy, and Colin. In addition to these he is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that will cherish his memory. 

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Mt. Washington Cemetery in Mt. Washington, KY.
