1937 - 2019

Pearl Johnson, 82, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest July 16, 2019 at Life Care Center in Morehead, KY. She was born July 2, 1937, the daughter of the late Andrew Johnson and Vesta McClurg. 

Pearl has been a resident of and called the Life Care Center her home, since 2010.  In her early years, she ran a family restaurant in Frogtown, then served her family as a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed listening to George Jones and Bluegrass music.  She especially loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Burl “Bud” Johnson.

She is survived by three daughters, Marcia Lynn Johnson Lindsey, Alice Faye Johnson and Paula Ann Johnson Pennington; one sister, Alice Faye Lawhorne; nine grandchildren, Donna Lynn Hall Stevens, Jack Hall, Andrew Hall, Robert Lee “Bobby” Hall, Rodney Bond, Phillip Johnson, Joey Johnson, Cortney Pennington Cruz and Page Pennington and Cayden Kees; and eight great-grandchildren, Devin Stevens, Dominic Stevens, Cameron Hall, Trenton Hall, Keaton Brooks Bond, Peyton Grace Bond and Aiden Cruz.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 19, 2019 at 7:00pm at Duvall & Moore Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Roe officiating.  Private interment will follow at a later date.

Friends may visit from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Friday, July 19, 2019 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY.

Serving as Pallbearers; Rodney Bond, David Stevens, Jack Hall, Richard Stevens, Robert Hall, Tony Lawhorne, Troy Lindsey and Kevin McHone.
