Patricia "Patty" (Roark) Reynolds

Patricia “Patty” Roark Reynolds, 81, of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest Sunday morning November 26, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 23, 1942, in Pleasant Valley, KY, a daughter of the late Harlan and Tessie Newsome Roark.

Patty was of the Christian faith and a 50-year member of The Order of Eastern Star Chapter #290 in Olive Hill, KY. After attending the Cedar Point School, in her early years she ran a small grocery store near Carter Caves but spent most of her life farming and being a caretaker to her friends and family. She loved being outdoors fishing and hunting. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was especially known for her homemade Cream Candy and Apple Stack Cakes. Patty loved spending time with her grandbabies and great grandbabies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul “Dollar Hide” Reynolds; two sisters, Shirl Ann Baker, and Betty Vasiliades; and two brothers, Duane Roark, and Harold Roark.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Karl King of Olive Hill, KY; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary Paul Reynolds and Susan of Sacramento, CA; one niece who was more like a daughter, Leah Dawn Glass and her husband Steve of Grayson, KY; two sisters, Amy Marcum, and Sue Sweeney both of Olive Hill, KY; four grandchildren, John Paul(Brittany) Reynolds, Karla Jo (Daniel) King, Joseph Reynolds, and Sarah Reynolds; and two great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Kendall Reynolds. In addition to these she is survived by a host of relatives and friends that will cherish her memory.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday November 30, 2023, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home in Olive Hill, KY with Bro. Steve Madden, and Jon Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the John Henry Newsome Lower Cemetery in Olive Hill, KY.

Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 PM Wednesday November 29, 2023, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.

Eastern Star Services will be conducted 7:00 PM by Eastern Star Chapter #290

Serving as pallbearers will be John Paul Reynolds, Karla Jo King, Daniel Molyneux, Jared Baker, Kenny Adkins, and Mike Adkins

Honorary Pall bearers will be Matt Smedley, Teddy Sweeney, and Joe Sweeney
