1973- 2022

Ora Wayne Duncan, 48, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest Wednesday morning, January 26, 2022, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY.  He was born in Rowan County, KY, July 23, 1973, to the late Ora Vernon “Buck” Duncan and Geneva Fay Mosier Duncan.

Wayne was a jack-of-all trades.  He passed his time working on lawn mowers, vehicles, and helping the people around him.  He enjoyed family gatherings, farming, hunting, and fishing.  Wayne was a collector of cast iron and antiques, but mostly he loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant brother, Vernon Dale Duncan; one sister, Audrey Neighbors; three brothers-in-law, Lee Neighbors, Jean Zornes, and Billy Clayton Hall; one niece, Tyra Hamilton; one nephew, Danny Ray Pelfrey; and two special friends, Randy C. Sammons, and Audrey Rodgers.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sherry Duncan; two daughters, Corina (Louis) Duncan Bray, and Brianna (Heath) Duncan Boggs; three sons, Russell (Cheyanne) Duncan, Nathanael Duncan, and Hunter Duncan; six grandchildren, David Sammons, Kaylie Bray, Dustin Bray, Brooklyn Vance, Haleigh Duncan, and McKenna Duncan; three sisters, Montana (Russell) Watson, Kelly (Sam) Carroll and Shirley Wells; one brother, Tommy (Crystal) Duncan; and several close friends that he considered as family, Kenny Pierce, Allen Henderson, Jr. Clay, Dewey Stone, and Donnie Stone, whom he thought of as a second father. In addition to these, he also leaves behind his beloved dog, Bear; as well as a host of family and friends who will sadly mourn his passing forever.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Monday, January 31, 2022, at Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bro. Nick Barker and L.A. Biggs officiating. Burial will follow at the Henderson Cemetery on Rt. 59, Olive Hill, KY.

Friends may visit from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, January 30, 2022, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt St., Olive Hill, KY 41164.

Russell Duncan, Nathanael Duncan, Louis Bray, DJ Shuck, Tim Edmondson, Allen Henderson, Sam Carroll, Kenny Pierce, Lawrence Neighbors & LA Biggs will serve as pallbearers.

Heath Boggs, Donnie Stone, Dewey Stone, Hunter Duncan, Junebug Miller, and Robert Blevins are named as honorary pallbearers.
