Margie Bear Holbrook

1936-2021

Margie Bear Holbrook, age 85, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest Sunday morning, September 12, 2021 at her residence.

She was born in Carter County, KY on July 31, 1936, to the late James Hardin Bear and Emily Ethel Boggs Bear. Margie was a member and attended Old Regular Baptist Macedonia Church.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Clabe Stacey Holbrook; two sons, Phillip Holbrook and Kirk Holbrook; and one sister, Catherine Holbrook.

Margie is survived by one daughter, Evelyn Stamper; one son, Johnnie Holbrook; three sisters, Nemo Bear, Esther Bear and Pauline Rice; three brothers, Floyd Bear, Ray Bear and Ervin Bear; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and soon to arrive, one great-great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bro. Harrison Runyon, Bro. Jim Justice, and Bro. Roger Justice officiating. Burial will follow at the Clabe Holbrook Cemetery in Olive Hill, KY.

Friends may visit 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Tuesday, September 14, 2021; 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Wednesday, September 15, 2021; and 9:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
