Heaven Gained a new Angel, Madge Nichols Holbrook, 89, of Olive Hill, KY entered rest Friday December 3, 2021, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY. She was born January 17, 1932, in Olive Hill, Kentucky a daughter of the late Walter and Josie Mabry Nichols.
Madge was a Homemaker and wonderful Mother to her Children and a loving second mother to her nieces and nephews, A wonderful cook, Madge always had an open invitation for her family and relatives at her table to share a meal. Madge enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing & quilting. She Loved God and her family, was of the Church of God Faith and attended Haldeman Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Aldrich Holbrook in 2005, Seven Sisters and five Brother-in-laws, Firl (Harve) Holbrook, Virgie Nichols, Sally (Emory) Gearhart, Detta (Roy) Davis, Molly (Glen) Brown, Opal (Jettie) Reynolds, Marie (Bernard) Sparks; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Harlis (Jewell) Nichols and Thirl Nichols.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn (Ray) Rogers and Shirley (Tim) Seggerson, Both of Mansfield, OH; one son, Ron Holbrook of Olive Hill, KY; two sisters-in-law Mary Doris Nichols and Jacklyn Holbrook Crowl; seven grandchildren, Rochelle (Chris) Baker, Tia (Andrew Jones) Seggerson, Chad (Nichole) Rogers, Matthew Saltz, Tim (Danielle) Seggerson, Cami (Karl) Frasier, Cody (Ana) Holbrook.
15 great-grandchildren, T.J. (Tiffany) Williams, Keylee Rogers, Brayden Rogers, Aryana Rogers, Sebastian Jones, Anna Jones, Landon Jones, Liam Jones, Bentley Jones, Grace Seggerson, Jon Mark (Diane) Frasier, Matthew Frasier, Joshua Frasier, Marco Holbrook, and Ellie Holbrook; one great-great-grandchild, Shay Williams. In addition to these she is also survived many nieces, nephews, and relatives that will cherish her memory.
Honoring Madge’s wishes, Graveside Services will be conducted 12:30 PM Tuesday December 7, 2021, at the Tick Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill, Ky with Bro. Jason Johnson Officiating. Family will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Matthew Saltz.
