Loretta Sue Parker, 73, of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest Monday morning, May 13, 2024 at Woodland Oaks Health & Rehabilitation in Ashland, KY. She was born February 12, 1951 in Morehead, KY, a daughter to the late Thamer and Ruby Gilliam Rayburn.
Loretta was of the Christian faith, a member at Oakland Christian Church, and loved attending church services. She enjoyed sewing, going to thrift stores, gardening, and getting together for cookouts. She especially enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, saying that it gave her such peace.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Parker; two sisters, Nancy Fannin, and Barb Butler; one brother, Oscar Rayburn; and one granddaughter, Micah Roberts.
Loretta is survived by two daughters, Sherry (Clayton) Puckett, and Amy (Jeffrey) Dummitt; two sons, Stacy Parker, and Nathan Parker; eight sisters, Margie Conley, Rosie (Earl) Bond, Linda (Patrick) Taylor, Diana Sammons, Garnet Nichols, Shirley (Gary) Dean, Dorie Webb, and Debbie (Phillip) Reynolds; five brothers, Eugene (Bernice) Rayburn, Woodrow (Pat) Rayburn, Arthur (Kathy) Rayburn, Donnie (Kathy) Rayburn, and Chalmer Rayburn; three grandchildren, Corey Bradley, Rayahna Kiser, and Colt Parker; one special granddaughter, Desiree Brown; and two great-granddaughters, Sophie Bradley and Phoebe Bradley. In addition to these, she leaves behind a host of other family and friends who will miss her and cherish her memory.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with David Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at the Parker Family Cemetery on Trough Camp.
Friends may visit 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 16, 2024 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Stacy Parker, Nathan Parker, Clayton Puckett, Jeffrey Dummitt, Corey Bradley, and Donnie Rayburn will serve as pallbearers.
