Linda Lou Lambert Burton, 75, of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest Tuesday morning, February 14, 2023, at her residence. She was born September 7, 1947, in Springfield, OH a daughter of the late Alberta Marie Phillips Lambert Collier.
Linda was of the Christian faith and was saved on Christmas day, December 25, 1996. She attended Pleasant Valley Gospel Tabernacle. Linda was a well-known staple of the Olive Hill community, as she served at Burton’s Drive-In from 1970 until 2001, when she quit to care for her mother-in-law. She was also a standard go-to for delicious cakes and goodies for 43 years. Linda loved Longaberger baskets and served locally as a branch advisor from 1993 through 2018 and was a member of Town & Country Homemakers for 40 years.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Phillip Wayne Burton, in 2019; her maternal grandparents, Alva Vernon and Jessie Phillips; her mother and father-in-law, Edwin “Chig” and Emojean Burton; one sister, Emma Jane Huffman; two brothers, Floyd Lambert, and Leroy Lambert; two sisters-in-law, Dora Edith Duvall, and Shirley Lambert; and three brothers-in-law, Bill Turner, Bill Burton, and Sam Duvall.
She is survived by two daughters, Edwina Burton and her fiancée Brian Henderson, and Karen Jenkins and her husband Gary; two sons, Randy Burton and his wife Shelia, and Brian Burton and his wife Melissa, all of Olive Hill; one sister, Margie Turner of Kettering, OH; one brother, Vernon Lee Lambert and his wife Dawn of Springfield, OH; one sister-in-law, Barb Burton of Olive Hill; and one brother-in-law, Lowell Gene Burton and his wife Wanda of Olive Hill; nine grandchildren, Zachary Burton, Jeremy Burton, Justin Jaynes and his wife Chelsa, Ashley Jaynes, Evan Burton and his wife Rachel, Katie Burton, Hannah Baker, Garrett Jenkins, and Karianne Jenkins; and two great-grandchildren, Roman and Cruz Jaynes. In addition to these, she leaves behind a special “adopted” grandson, Cameron Stevens, whom she cared for as a child and loved as her own; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will greatly miss her and cherish her memory.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM, Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bro. Jimmy Barker and Ethan Barker officiating. Burial will follow at the Burton Family Cemetery.
Friends may visit 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2023; 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM, Friday, February 17, 2023; and 9:00 AM until the time of service, Saturday 18, February 18, 2023, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY.
Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Her great-grandsons, Roman and Cruz Jaynes, will serve as honorary pallbearers.
