1937-2021

LeRoy Otis McGlone, 83, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest Saturday morning, September 11, 2021. He was born September 19, 1937 in Carter County, KY, to the late Arvil and Alice Johnson McGlone.

Mr. McGlone was an ordained minister and although he never led his own congregation, he was deeply committed to serving his Lord.  He served in many different capacities and in several churches. He attended New Hope Community Church and most recently, was helping with Bible Study at the United Methodist Church in Olive Hill.  Throughout his working career, he had several different jobs, one of the most interesting was working as a detective for the Pinkerton Dectective Agency.  Ultimately, he concluded his working career with Aurora Casket Company in Revanna, Ohio.  After retirement, LeRoy spent his time enjoying many hobbies and interests that included woodworking, hunting, raising a garden, playing music, and collecting old coins, guns and knives.

LeRoy is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Veneda Carol Lambert McGlone; three daughters, Angela Annette Vineyard, of Spencer, WV, Rebecca Dawn Jackson, of Vancouver, WA, and Jennifer Heather Morris, of Warren, OH; two sons, Jeffrey William McGlone, and Clayton LeRoy McGlone, both of Warren, OH; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to these, he leaves behind a host of other friends and family that will greatly miss him.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00AM, Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bro. John Lambert    officiating. Burial will follow at the J. H. McGlone Cemetery in Olive Hill, KY.

Friends may visit 9:00AM to 10:00AM, Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the Duvall &Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
