Karen Irene Hall Workman, age 63, of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest Tuesday evening, July 2, 2025, at U.K. King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. She was born April 3, 1962, at Stovall Hospital in Grayson, KY a daughter of the late George Robert “Shorty” Hall and Maybel Lorrine Crawford Hall.
Karen worked for many years in the Carter County School System as a Teachers Aid at Tygart Creek Elementary and as a Cook at West Carter Highschool. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed gardening and the occasional trip to the Casino. She especially loved spending time with her grandbabies and great grandbabies, her nightly TV time with Jerry and taking care of all of her friends and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Alex Hall.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Jerry Ray Workman; three daughters Jessica Dawn Boyer of Townsend, GA, Raydonna Dillion of St. Augustine, FL and Casey Jo Smith of Ashland, KY; one sister Mary Jo Hall of Sebastian, FL; grandchildren, Kamryn Toney, Kirya Bowling, Hayden Dillion, Weylin Smith, Kaitlyn Dillon; great grandchildren, Sebastian Toney and Avery Toney. In addition, she is survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that will cherish her memory.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:30 PM Sunday July 6, 2025, at the Workman-Hall Cemetery on State route 1025 in Olive Hill, KY. Burial will follow in the Workman- Hall Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:00 PM -2:00 PM Sunday July 6, 2025, at the Duvall and Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
