Jimmy Lee Oney
Jimmy Lee Oney, age 65, of Olive Hill, KY entered in to rest Friday afternoon, September 27, 2024, at St. Claire in Morehead, KY. He was born October 17, 1958, in Carter County, KY, a son of Betty Hedge Gillam and the late Everett Lee Oney.
Jimmy was of the Christian faith and was a farmer. He enjoyed horses, carpentry and especially, spending time with his daughter and grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-dad, Russell Gillam; step-mom, Gloria Jean Oney; and brothers-in-law, Wayne Duncan, and Keith Messer.
Jimmy is survived by his companion of 20 years; Angela Taylor Oney; one daughter, Lanette Oney, three brothers; Mark Oney, Kenny Burchett, and Timmy Burchett; eight sisters; Christine (James) Brogdon, Brenda Messer, Annettia (Randy) Doll, Lesia (Charlie) Cline, Sherry Duncan, Linda (Ronnie) Clark, Crystal Oney, and Missy (Johnny) Jordan; and ten grandchildren, Haylan Callihan, Jayden Callahan, Branson Callahan, Dukoda Littleton, Kelsie Littleton, Kara Littleton, Kamryn Littleton, Wyatt Blankenship, Hudson Blankenship, and Tatum Blankenship. In addition, he leaves behind his close friend Carlos “Cookie” Jordan as well as many other friends and family who will greatly miss him.
Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Olive Hill, KY, officiated by Brother L. A. Biggs and Brother Duane Biggs. Burial will follow in the Kiser Cemetery in Grahn, KY.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Pallbearers will be Haylan Callahan, Jayden Callahan, Branson Callahan, Lathen Blankenship, Dukoda Littleton, Russell Duncan.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Wyatt Blankenship, Hudson Blankenship, Carlos “Cookie” Jordan, Charlie Cline, Jerry Bishop, and David Blankenship.
