Jeffrey Hayden Waugh
1960 – 2026
Jeffrey Hayden Waugh, 65, entered into rest Thursday, May 28, 2026, at UK King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. He was born September 30, 1960, in Boyd County, Ky to the late Charles Hayden and Mary Lou Vanlandingham Waugh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters, Carol Sue Rice, Conechia Lynn Johnson, Loushetta Jordan, Tiretha Kay Mauk, Lesa Michelle Skaggs, and infant Jennifer Rena Waugh.
Jeff was a man who never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. He enjoyed a life filled with the things he loved most – riding horse, working on saddles, watching westerns, and spending quiet evenings sitting on the swing of his front porch. He was always wheeling and dealing, especially when it came to trading guns or anything else that caught his attention.
Known for his fun-loving personality, he loved joking, teasing, and carrying on with family and friends. Some of his favorite moments were spent sitting and just shooting the breeze with his best friend, Elwood Willis.
Above all, he cherished his wife and family. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he found great joy in spoiling them every chance he got. He will be remembered for his quick wit, spirit, and the many laughs and memories he shared with those who knew and loved him.
Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Gee Waugh; one daughter, Kim (Kevin) McGlone; one son, Wesley (Crystal) Waugh; three sisters, Sherry Shawn Waugh, Belva Jean Schumacher, and Dawn Rita Mauk; two brothers, Chanie Waugh, and Doug Waugh; two grandchildren, Brayden Waugh, and Kelsey (Bricen) Thompson; and one great-grandson, Kayson Thompson. In addition to these, he leaves behind a host of other family and friends that will greatly miss him and cherish his memory.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bro. Bobby Day and Shane Elam officiating. Burial will follow at the Gee Cemetery, Mocabee Creek, Olive Hill, KY.
