Jeffrey Del Barker

Jeffrey Del Barker, age 62, of Hernando, FL, passed away August 15, 2023.  He was born July 2, 1961 in Rapid City, South Dakota at Ellsworth Air Force Base.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Delmane Barker.

Jeff is survived by his mother, Chloe Barker and Step-Father, Andy Popella; his lifelong partner, Patty Barker; his children, Jessica Andress, Jennifer Brown, Joe Barker, and Grace Barker; his grandchildren, Brody, Grayson, Madison, Talan, Griffen, Adrienne, and Charlotte; his sister, Tammy Campbell; and several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins whom he loved dearly.

Jeff was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. During his 20 years in the Air Force, Jeff served in the Gulf War, Operation Desert Storm, and spent a total of 3 years 10 months and 12 days in Foreign Service. His dedication to his Country and Service earned him 16 Medals, Ribbons, and Awards, and 19 Devices. After his retirement, Jeff engaged with the VA and The Grey Beret Association.

Jeff loved his friends and family more than anything. He was blessed to have four children and seven grandchildren, as well as a wide network of friends all across the world. He loved the beach, music, and the Green Bay Packers. He was a storyteller, a comedian, and the life of every party. He will forever be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Jeff will be laid to rest on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
