Janet Rhea Knipp 76, of Olive Hill, left her mortality behind on Tuesday, Dec 16,2014 at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY
She was born on June 1, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Alfred Grady and Lillian (James) Carroll.
She was preceded in death not only by her parents but by her two sisters Dorothy Jean Gee and Martha "Ann" Phillips whom she loved dearly. And her closest and best friend Margaret Bauers.
Janet is survived by her four children David and his wife Trina of Olive Hill, KY; Larry Bart of Olive Hill, KY; Kimberly Renee Taylor and her husband Michael Ararat, NC; Jason of Hewitt, NJ. She has seven grandchildren Bryon Ray Knipp, Andrew Hamdam, Jason Wm Knipp, Adam Hamdam, Aaron Taylor, Jaclyn Knipp, and Amber Taylor; four great-grandchildren Alex Knipp, Jacey Knipp, Matthew Knipp and Braleigh Taylor. And her faithful ;pets Tucker, Sadie and Jammer.
Her book of life shows Janet was a kind and caring friend and neighbor. She loves her family and God unselfishly.
Janet was a very active lady. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Tabernacle. She loved bowling and was a member of the Women's Bowling Association for many years and had won several championships. Although unable to attend for a few years, she was a member of the Eastern Star. She loved fishing and shooting. In her younger years, she had been an avid hunter. Gardening was one of her passions. one of her favorite past times, was making cream candy, reading, playing and beating everyone at gin rummy and quilting. She was a big UK fan and loved giving her only son-in-law, Michael, a Tar-Heel fan, a hard time.
