James Kenneth Reynolds

1940 – 2020  

James Kenneth Reynolds, 79, entered into rest, Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. He was born in Carter County, KY, December 3, 1940, a son, to the late James Edgar and Peachie Middleton Reynolds.

Kenneth was a brick and stone mason out of the Ashland Bricklayers Local 07. He served as an Evangelist and Pastor for many years, and upon retirement he attended Ross Chapel Church.  He enjoyed farming and working with horses. He also enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Gene Reynolds, Charles Reynolds and infant Leslie Reynolds.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 58 years and 10 months, Ruth Harriet Dugger Reynolds; two children, Carolyn Sue and Billy Gene; two sisters, Glenna Buckler and Virginia Bocook; four brothers, Harold Reynolds, Talmage Reynolds, Ronald Dean Reynolds and Terry Reynolds; and four grandchildren, Graham Stamper, Brady Stamper, Laynie Reynolds and Ava Reynolds. In addition to these, Kenneth leaves behind many extended family, friends and church family who will greatly miss him.

Due to COVID-19 requirements, a private graveside service will be held at the Reynolds Family Cemetery, with Kenneth’s brother, Harold Reynolds, officiating.
