James W. Henderson, 52, passed on April 20, 2021. He was born to Leslie Armstrong Henderson, Jr. and Connie Sue Hurley in Morehead, Kentucky on November 26, 1968.
James worked at PharMerica as a nurse consultant and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people.
James had a way with people and his love for others showed at every turn. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, beating everyone at chess (trivia, or any other game), and he loved spending time with his family. He was a graduate of Baron Collier High School in Naples, FL; but also attended West Carter High School in Olive Hill, KY.
James is survived by his four children, James Henderson Jr. (Melissa Henderson), Audrey Collier (Terrell Collier), Andrea Knight (Seth Knight ), and Valerie Henderson; his twin brother, John Henderson (Laura Henderson); and his step-mother, Louise Henderson. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Karlynn, Ruby, Callie, and Constance Collier. He also leaves behind many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
James is predeceased in death by his father, Leslie Armstrong Henderson, Jr.; his mother, Connie Sue Hurley, and his brother, David Henderson.
James' service will be Saturday April 24th hosted at LifePoint Church, 1644 11th St. Portsmouth, OH 45662. Visitation will be held from 3pm to 5pm with the service beginning at 5:00.
We are asking that you wear a mask to the service as the county is still under a mask mandate.
