James Noel Crider
1959-2026
James Noel Crider, 66, of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest Sunday, March 22, 2026. He was born August 26, 1959, in Mansfield, OH to the late Maggie McGlone and Gearald Crider.
Jim was preceded in death by his beloved and only son, Casey James Crider; his mother and stepfather, Maggie and Phillip Duncan; his father and stepmother, Gearald and Judy Crider; his maternal grandparents, Reeder and Florence McGlone; his paternal grandparents, Noel and Mary Crider; and three brothers, Doug Crider, Robin Crider, and Joseph Ray Duncan.
He was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures – whether it was hunting in the quiet woods, casting a line on a peaceful day of fishing, or sharing laughter with everyone around him.
Known for his quick wit and playful spirit, Jim had a special gift for making people smile. His love of pranks and practical jokes brought lighthearted moments to family gatherings and left countless memories that will be cherished for years to come.
He treasured time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of his life. Whether telling stories, sharing laughs, or simply enjoying the company of his family and friends. Jim also valued his faith and attended church services at Kibbey Chapel when he was able.
Jim is survived by his two daughters, Shannon (Brent) Boggs and Christal (Paul) Dailey; eight grandchildren, Levi (Leslie) Dailey, Bre Boggs, Harley (Breanna) Dailey, Preston Crider, Brody Boggs, Logan Dailey, Bristol Boggs, and Kennadi Crider; two great-granddaughters, Joselee Dailey and Preslee Dailey; three sisters, Patricia (Steve) Porter, Becky Manning, and Jeri Lynn (Josh) Thilmony; and six brothers, Glenn Stamper, Estill Stamper, Curt (Melinda) Crider, Steven (Betty) Crider, Paul Nathan (Erica) Crider, and DeWayne (Andrea) Crider. In addition to these, he leaves behind the mother of his children and special caretaker, Sherry and her husband Ray, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
