Homer Wallace Maddix, 73, of Grahn, KY entered into rest Thursday evening December 21, 2022, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. He was born September 6, 1949, at Home in Grahn, KY a son of the late Dennis and Katherine Brown Maddix.
Homer was of the Baptist Faith and Retired as a Mason after Fifty years. Homer loved to spend time with his family especially his grand kids, he enjoyed listening to Christian music. He loved to hang out with his brother Gary where they passed the time reminiscing about the “good old days” Homer also loved to fool with his cattle and watched the Lexington, Mt. Sterling and Paris Stock sales every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son Cleadith Ray Madix; three sisters, Wanda Fultz, Charlene McEwen, and Maxine Maddix; seven brothers, Larry Maddix, Charles Maddix, Cleadith Maddix, Johnny Maddix, Joe Rob Maddix, Kenny Maddix and Gary Maddix.
He is survived by his Loving wife of 50 years Sandy Zuvers Maddix, one daughter and son-in-law Tora and Norman Knight of Columbus, OH; one son Johnny Mehring Maddix of Montpelier , OH; one daughter-in-law Judy Salyers; one sister Earnestine Tackett of Olive Hill, KY; five grandchildren, Adam James, Baby Charles Salyers, Austin Hayes, Angel Lynn and Chantelle Rose; three great grandchildren, Braylenn Ray, Aleah Rose, Breanna Nicole; Two Special Friends Ollie and Jeanie Boggs; In addition to these he is survived by a host of Nieces, Nephews, Relatives and Friends that Sadly mourn his Passing.
Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday December 27, 2022 at the Duvall and Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bro Jimmy Barker and Bro. Monroe Craig Officiating. Burial will follow in the Maddix Family Cemetery.
Friends may Visit 11:00-1:00 PM Tuesday December 27 at the Duvall and Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Bradley Branham, Scottie Maddix, Jessie Maddix, Brandon Branham, Tanner Branham, Johnny Mehring Maddix and Randy Adkins will serve as pallbearers.
