Glenn Edward Parsons Sr.

1944-2019

Glenn Edward Parsons Sr., 75, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest Friday, February 8, 2019 at his residence.  He was born January 25, 1944 in Carter County, KY, a son of the late Joe Fuller and Bertha Helen McCoy Parson.

Mr. Parsons was of the Baptist faith and attended Iron Hill Baptist Church.  He was a master logger by trade and he enjoyed horses and motorcycles. Glenn was a hard worker and an exceptional carpenter, using these skills to build his own home. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Glenda Sue Parsons Sammons, and one sister, Louise Pence.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Linda Sue Hicks Parsons; four sons, Joey Parsons (Rachel), Glenn Parsons Jr. (Rebecca), Eddie Parsons (Stephanie) and John Fuller Parsons (Kim Paino); two sisters, Virginia “Nickie” Cooper and Janet Davis; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind two special friends, Frank Staggs, Jr. & Bobby Lewis; as well as a host of family and friends who will greatly miss him.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home with Bro. Lowell Elliott officiating. Burial will follow at the Arms Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5:00pm, Sunday, February 10, 2019 and after 8:00am on Monday, February 11, 2019 until the time of service, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home and Cremation Service, located at 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY.
