Gene Raymond Redecker Sr.

Gene Raymond Redecker, Sr. made his heavenly entrance Monday, January 20, 2025, at Bridgeport Healthcare Center of Ohio in Portsmouth, Ohio. Gene was born July 23, 1945, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Raymond & Esther Eicher Redecker.

Gene has a great love for his Lord, family, friends and his country. He was of the Christian faith and was a member of Barrett’s Creek Baptist Church in Grayson, KY. He was proud to serve as a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary out of Huntington, WV.

He worked as a salesman for 20 plus years at Brown’s Mobile Home in Grayson, KY. Gene enjoyed working and visiting with people. Later in life, he opened a computer business in Grayson where he worked, built, and repaired computers for people in the area. He loved being outdoors, fishing, or on the water. 

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia Ann Brickey Redecker.

Gene is survived by his four sons; Ray (Fonda) Redecker, Jr. of Ashland, KY, Randy (Tammy) Redecker of Louisville, KY, Rich (Jodi) Redecker of Atlanta, GA, Rusty (Kami) Redecker of Louisville, KY; his two daughters, Renee (Rob) Parsons of Rush, KY, Rachel (Eddie) Barker of Olive Hill, KY; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and extended family that will mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM, Saturday 25, 2025, at the First Baptist Church, 365 East Tom T Hall Blvd, Olive Hill, KY, 41164, with Bro. Eddie Barker officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

Friends may visit 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Saturday 25, 2025, at First Baptist Church Olive Hill.

Family will serve as pallbearers.
