Everett Dempsey Smith, 83, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest June 27, 2019. He was born April 11, 1936 in Carter County, KY, a son of the late Robert and Marie Carroll Smith.

Everett was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching westerns.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death in 2004 by his wife, Bessie Maggard Smith, whom he wed in 1960. Also, one son-in-law, Burlin Bair; three sisters, Kathleen Kitchen, Wilma Garland and Betty Reeves; two brothers, Robert Smith and Herbert Smith; one grandchild, Jonie Smith; and one great-grandchild, Gabriel Smith.

He is survived by three daughters, Ruth Bair, Inez Trent and Geraldine Mcclure (Eddie); six sons, James Smith (Connie), Steve Smith (Deeann), Everett L. Smith (Jackie), Benjamin Smith (Kelly), John Paul Smith (Marcella), George Smith (Cassie); three sisters, Mary Richmond, Goldie Justice and Phyllis Stone (James); five brothers, Otha Smith (Deanna), Carl Smith (Margie), Jack Smith (Nancy) Junior Smith (Mary) and Hobert Smith; twenty-six grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00, Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

Friends may visit from 6:00-9:00 PM, Saturday, June 29, 2019 and 10:00 AM–2:00 PM, Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street Olive Hill, KY.
