Eugene Bales

1933-2014

Eugene Bales, 81, of Olive Hill, entered into rest Tuesday evening, December 2, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Bales was born October 1, 1933 in Harlan County, KY a son of the late William and Alice Bales. He spent most of his working years working for Diamond Chain in Indianapolis Indiana and later in the Boat Building Industry. Eugene was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the Moose Lodge. Eugene loved to work in his Garden, go Bowling, and Fishing.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by four brothers, Charlie, Bill, Walt and Roy and one sister Beatrice.  

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Betty Beasley Bales of Olive Hill, KY; one daughter Linda Bales Stotz of Ellenton, FL; Two sons Dennis Bales and his wife Judy of Ocala, FL and Chris Bales and his wife Shelia of Olive Hill, KY; 12 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday December 5, 2014 at Duvall & Moore Funeral Home, 149 Whitt Street Olive Hill, KY with Bro. David Gee Officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Olive Hill.
