Earl Donald Moore, Sr.,97, of Knoxville, TN, entered into eternal rest, Sunday, May 25, 2025, at his son’s residence in Olive Hill, Kentucky. He was born in Kodak, TN, October 3, 1927. Son to the late Oren and Francis Snyder Moore.
Earl was a member of River Dale Baptist church. He was a World War II Veteran of the US Navy. He also was a former executive with The Palm Beach / Plaid Company for 47 years. He enjoyed gardening and yardwork.
In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Eugenia Hill Stallings Moore.
Earl is survived by one daughter, Ella Moore (Steve) Pettit of Alachua, FL; two sons, Earl D. (Lona) Moore Jr. of Florence, KY, and Alan E. (Kerry) Moore of Knoxville, TN; twelve grandchildren, Zachary (Kelley) Moore, Anderson Moore, Erin Moore (Patrick) Adkins, Alix Moore (David) McCroskey, Joshua (Eleine) Pettit, Rebekah Pettit (Jeremy) Copeland, Caleb (Miranda) Moore, Leah Pettit Byrd, Rachel Pettit (Tadd) Roberts, Gabriel Pettit, Brandon (Chelsey)Kidwell, and Tara Kidwell; 25 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Ralph Moore of Kodak, TN. Earl will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his family.
Graveside Services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the Pleasant Piney Grove Cemetery in New Market, TN with Bro. Eddie Barker officiating.
Arrangements are in the care of the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Moore, Zachary Moore, Easton Adkisson, David McCroskey, Cameron Wilson, Mickey Campbell, Anderson Moore and Brandon Kidwell.
