Deborah “Debbie” Bailey
July 30, 1953 – April 16, 2026
Deborah “Debbie” Bailey, age 72, passed away in Richmond, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and faith. She was born on July 30, 1953, in Wolfe County, Kentucky, where her story began before later making her home in Richmond.
Debbie was preceded in death by her brother Danny Brewer and her beloved parents, Katherine Brewer and Seldon Brewer.
She is survived by her devoted husband, James Bailey; her cherished children: Erica Bailey; Wayne and Amanda Wimor; Lee and Belinda Wimor; Greg and Kristie Willoughby; Joshua and Megan Bailey; Robert Whalen; Caleb Bailey; and Cody Inman; and her brothers, Johnny Brewer, William Brewer, and Arnold Brewer. Debbie was also a proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
Debbie will be remembered for her strength, her love of family, and the warmth she brought to those around her.
Though her passing leaves a profound void, her family finds comfort in the promise of scripture:
“…that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.”
— 1 Thessalonians 4:13–14
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore.”
— Revelation 21:4
Debbie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
