Danny Harold Tackett, age 64, of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest Tuesday evening November 4, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born August 12, 1961, in Ashland, KY, a son of the Late Daniel Wayne Tackett and Earnestine Maddix Tackett of Olive Hill, KY.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister Katherine Ruth Tackett.

Danny was a retired after 10 years of service for the Kentucky Department of Parks-Division of Rangers, He proudly served in the United States Army from 1982 to 1985 where he was promoted to rank Specialist 4, Communication Specialist and also served as a tanker while stationed in Korea. Danny was a member of VFW post 1064 and American Legion Post 0200. 

He was a follower of Christ and enjoyed collecting books, currency and Stamps. He also was a filmmaking enthusiast and was interested in all aspects of shooting and producing videos and Movies. Danny was also a very accomplished musician, guitarist and singer, having recorded three albums.

In addition to his mother he is survived by three daughters, Tabitha (Eric) Riffe, Holly Tackett, Summer Marcum; one son Zachariah Blue Tackett; grandchildren, Hayden Tackett, Iza Webb, Ian Barker, Ellie Brooks, Roger Wages, Talitha Tackett; one niece Danielle (Jerome) Rayburn; two nephews, Eldin (Ruth Ann) Mays, and Brian Mays. In addition to these, Danny is survived by several aunts, uncles, relatives and friends that will cherish his memory.
