Clinton McGlone, 84, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest Tuesday morning, December 24, 2019 at his residence. He was born April 21, 1935 in Olive Hill, KY, a son of the late Frank and Grace Davis McGlone.
Clint was a United States Army Veteran, where he served as a cook in Korea, after the Korean Conflict. After his military service was a truck driver, worked in sawmills, farmed and retired from Agri-General in Coalton, KY, where he was Assistant Manager.
He was of the Christian Holiness faith and attended Kibbey Chapel Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
Clint loved reading his Bible, working in his woodshop, being around his family and giving away peppermint candy; being known by many as “The Candy Man”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Clevie Jordan; two brothers, Carsol McGlone and James Patrick “Pat” McGlone; 5 half-sisters, Opal McGlone, Avenell Justice, Edith Fultz, Anna May Davis, and Gertrude Hamm; 2 half-brothers, Junior Conn and August Hamm; and two grandchildren, Zackery McGlone and Brandon Parsons.
He is survived by his loving wife, Hazel L. McGlone; five daughters, Ramona (Ronnie) Burke, Rebecca Jane (Glenn Jr.) Parsons, Malinda Lou ( Leroy) Ison, and Rachel Lynn (Joey) Parsons; two sons, William Clinton (Jan) McGlone and Timothy Eugene (Emily ) McGlone; one brother, Arthur Ray (Linda Sue) McGlone; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. In addition to these, he is survived by a host of relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bro. Lowell Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Olive Hill, KY, with full military honors.
