Clifford Scott James

Clifford Scott James, 59, of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest Wednesday evening June 11, 2025, at UK St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead, KY. He was born February 14, 1966, in Ashland, KY, as a son of the late Clifford R. and Mary F. Middleton James. 

Scott was of the Christian faith and a retired roofer. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Mary F. Kitchen and Four brothers, Donald, Timothy, Jackie, Henry and Johnny James.

He is survived by his Loving wife of 15 years Brenda Kay Cook James; his children, Nathan James, Jessica James, Michael Johnson, Gaberial James and Brenda Cook; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Barb and Red Ferguson of Ashland, KY, Loretta and Paul Dahmer of Ohio, Latricia and Willis Leadingham of Grahn, KY, Margie and Time Garvin of Olive Hill, KY, Amanda and Watt Hanshaw of Olive Hill, KY; three brothers and two sisters in law, Robert and Tammy James of Ashland, KY, Alvin and Sue James of Olive Hill, KY, and Clyde James of Olive Hill, KY. He is also survived by several grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends that will cherish his memory. 

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM on Monday June 16, 2025, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bro. Daniel Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Watson Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11:00-1:00 PM Monday June 16, 2025, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, Ky 41164

Friends and Family will serve as pallbearers.
