Christine (Reynolds) Bond

Christine Reynolds Bond, 89, of Olive Hill, KY went home to be with the Lord Friday evening, August 25, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family and friends. She was born September 11, 1933, in Access, Kentucky, a daughter of the late George and Ella Justice Reynolds.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Chester “Sandy” Bond whom she married July 23, 1955; one infant son, Elton Ray Bond; three brothers, Arlie Reynolds, Earsel Reynolds, and Ira Reynolds; four sisters, Maxine Conn, Edith Meade, Goldie Reynolds and Catheline Reynolds.

 Christine was of the Baptist Faith and retired from the Old Olive Hill Elementary School, where she was a custodian for many years. Described as a people person, she loved to talk on the phone even at 2 A.M., and visit with people right up until she was called home. She loved to sew, making several hand-sewn quilts for her family and friends. She also loved to cook, with a specialty of cream candy. Christine loved her family, attending family gatherings, and reading her Bible.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Earl Lee and Rosetta Bond of Lewis County, KY, and David and Cynthia Bond of Olive Hill, KY; two brothers, Arnold Reynolds of Galion, OH, and Paul Reynolds of Olive Hill, KY; two sisters Francis May and Lucille Walker, both of Olive Hill, KY; four grandchildren, William Bond, Joseph Bond, Joshua Bond, Sarah Bond Cluff; one special grandson-in-law, Matthew Cluff; four great-grandchildren, Isaac Bond, Isaiah Bond, Gabriel Bond and Ellie Bond and one great-grandson arriving in December; special nieces and nephews, Zoa and Gary Criss, Marty Meade, Rick Meade, Steve Reynolds, and Mark May. In addition to these, she leaves a host of family and friends to cherish her memory.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bro. Roy Collet and Bro. Tim Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill, KY.

 Pallbearers will be Matthew Cluff, Charlie Dunaway, Matthew Colegrove, William Bond, Joseph Bond, and Joshua Bond.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Seagraves, Martin Boggs, Richard Dunaway, David Bowling, and Gary Criss.

 Visitation will be 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM Tuesday, August 29, 2023, and 9:00 – 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Duvall and Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164
