1933-2023

Charles Junior Tackett, 89, of Grayson, KY entered into rest Sunday, April 9, 2023 at his residence. He was born June 26, 1933 in Olive Hill, KY, a son to the late Charles Tackett and Flora Belle Kirby Tackett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Vernie Nixon, Eva Maddix, Lorraine Sukow, and Eleanor Baker; and three brothers, Earl Tackett, Thurman Tackett, and Kirby Tackett.

Charles was of the Christian faith, and he proudly served his country in the US Army. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, old cars, spending time with his family; and having a ball with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Bettie L. Bishop Tackett; two daughters,  Terri (Doug) Hess, and Brenda Crawford; one son, Darrell (Laura) Tackett; one sister, Deloris (Joe) Allen and her daughter Debra Hunter Temple; six grandchildren, Scott (Sonia), Kelly, Tanner, Katja, Hannah and Charles Dean; and six great-grandchildren, Sofie, Saige, Silas, Owen, Lucy, and Mia. 

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bro. Darryl Garvin officiating. Burial will follow at the Tackett-Buckler Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Darrell Tackett, Charles Dean Tackett, Douglas Hess, Scott Hess, Tanner Hess, and Rick Bishop.
