Charlene Gillam Sparks
1954 - 2022
Charlene Gillam Sparks, 67, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest Saturday evening, June 11, 2022, at her residence. She was born in Grayson, KY on August 12, 1954, to the late Roy Junior Gillam and Helen Lucille Kiser Gillam.
Charlene was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Greenup, KY. Charlene was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved to cook and sing; and loved spending time with her grandkids and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul David Sparks; one son, Chad David Sparks; and one sister, Eva Sue Gillam.
Charlene is survived by two daughters, Shawna (Charles N.) Rice, of Grayson, and Alicia Jane Sparks, of Olive Hill; five sisters, Barb Hedge, Phyllis (Carl) Parsons, Sheila Gillam, Juanita Rose, and Debbie Gillam; one brother, Marion Gillam; and three grandchildren, Nathan “Bubby” Rice, Kierra (Walker Stevens) Tackett, and Brody (Holly) Sparks. In addition to these, she leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends who will greatly miss her.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, with Bro. James Mills officiating. Burial will follow at the Kiser-Gillam Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, June 14, 2022, and 9:00 AM until the time of service, Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt St., Olive Hill, KY 41164.
