Carolyn Bailey, age 77 of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest Friday Morning May 24, 2024, at Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Grayson, KY. She was born July 11, 1946, in Grahn, KY a daughter of the late Willard and Ruby Mosier Bailey.
Carolyn was of the Christian Faith and First Baptist Church in Olive Hill, KY and several churches in the area. In her working years she worked at several sewing factories in Olive Hill, she also worked as a CNA at Carter Nursing and Rehab and at Vanceburg Nursing and Rehab in Vanceburg, KY. Later in Life she attended Morehead State University majoring in Elementary Math Education, she graduated in 2006 with a degree in university studies. Carolyn loved to read, spending time with family and friends, helping others anyway she could and being active in the Olive Hill Senior Citizens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant son Jeff Jordan; one daughter-in-law Julia Carroll Lewis Jordan, two sisters, Jearlean Bledsoe, Jewell Garvin; four brothers, Wayne Bailey, Larry Bailey, Estill Bailey, and Sam Bailey.
She is survived by one son, Jeffery Jordan, bonus Children Paul Barker and Vickie Barker, Sisters and Brother-in-laws, Janice and Gene Stevens, Gail and Pete Adkins, Della Knipp, Joyce and Mark Matthews; one brother and Sister-in-law, Don and Sarah Bailey; four sisters-in-law, Wilma Bailey, Janice Bailey, Kathy Bailey, Donna Bailey. In addition to these she is survived by several Beloved nieces, nephew’s relatives and friends that will cherish her memory.
In following Carolyns Wishes there will be no visitation, A celebration of Life Service will be conducted at a later date.
