Brenda Jean Gillum, 69, of Olive Hill, KY went to her heavenly home, Monday afternoon, October 30, 2023, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY. She was born June 12, 1954, in Ashland, KY, a daughter of the late Millis & Inez Nolen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her uncles, Walter Dailey, Webster Dailey, O.T. Dailey, and Roger Dailey.
Brenda was a member of the First Christian Church. She was once a co-owner of the Country Junction in Olive Hill and was an active member with the Homemakers. As a parent and grandparent she was a very active sponsor of many activities.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ernie W. Gillum; one son and one daughter-in-law, Jason and Kristy Gillum of Nicholasville, KY; two grandchildren, Bailey Watkins, Jessica Watkins; one sister and brother-in-law, Melinda and Jack Rodgers of Olive Hill; one niece, Tabitha Campbell and her husband Joey; one nephew, Jeremy Rodgers and his wife Christie; and two especially close grand-nieces, McKenzie Chandler, and McKayla Chandler; and three great nephews that she was close to, Tanner Campbell, Cooper Campbell, and Sawyer Rodgers. In addition to these she leaves behind a large beloved family, including in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will greatly miss her and cherish her memory.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at a later date.
