1936 – 2023

Betty Joann Beasley Bales, 87, of Boyd, TX, formerly of Olive Hill, entered into rest Friday, September 8, 2023, at the Bridgeport Medical Lodge in Bridgeport, TX.  She was born in Goodland, IN on May 7, 1936, to the late Walter Evan and Mable Ginn Beasley.

Betty was of the Baptist faith.  In addition to being a homemaker, she also worked along with her husband in the fiberglass boat industry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Eugene Bales; one son, Chris Bales; one sister, Thelma Word; and three brothers, Mitchel Beasley, Donald Beasley, and David Beasley.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Bales Stotz and her husband Ronnie of Waldron, AR; one son, Dennis Bales and his wife Judy of Ocala, FL; two sisters, Melody Paris, and Imogene Tackett both of FL; 12 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home and Cremation Service, with Bro. David Gee officiating.  Burial will follow at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery on Olive Hill, KY.
