Bernita J. Lowe
1954-2024
Bernita J. Lowe, 70, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, entered into rest, Sunday, December 15, 2024, at UK King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Bernita was born in Grayson, Kentucky, on August 5, 1954, to the late William and Minnie Deloris Barker Lawhun.
Bernita attended Three Pine Freewill Baptist Church. She loved attending church, baking, and taking care of everyone. She had a close relationship with many of her nieces and nephews and made a point to call Aubree and Greg every evening.
In addition to her parents, Bernita was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers-in-law, Paulette and Lee Burchett, and Pete Duncan.
Bernita is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ronald Lowe; three sisters, Shirley Jarvis (Harold Lowe), Karen Mosier Binion (Chris), and Shelia Duncan; several nieces and nephews, Amanda Garris, Trisha Jarvis, Lesley Jarvis, Jeremy Jarvis, Misty Spurlock, Christy Burchett Edison, Mark Burchett, Greg Burchett, and Tara Jo Rogers; and two great nieces, Aubree Garris, and Stevie Dyer. In addition to these, she leaves behind a host of other family and friends that will greatly miss her and cherish her memory.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Duvall and Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, with Bro. Jimmy Barker and Bro. Gary Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at the Nelson Carroll Cemetery with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
Friends may visit 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 18, 2024, and 9:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Duvall and Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
