Audria W. Carmichael

1921-2022

Audria W. Carmichael, 100, of Mt. Sterling, KY, entered into rest Monday night, January 24, 2022, at her residence.  She was born at home in Montgomery County, KY, on December 27, 1921, to the late Reese Wingate and Mary Wills Wingate.

She was a member of Sugar Grove Christian Church.  She liked quilting, farming, and cooking; especially feeding those working on the farm. Most of all she enjoyed her family.

In addition to her parents, Audria was preceded in death by her husband, William Carmichael; an infant daughter, Marilyn Carmichael; one son, Bill Carmichael; two sisters, Mabel Markland, and Naomi Horseman; and two brothers, Chester Wingate, and Shirley Wingate.

Audria is survived by her daughter-in-law, Cindy Carmichael; two grandchildren, Daniel (Dede) Carmichael and Amy (Ray) Crank; and four great-grandchildren, Bryson Crank, Braylon Crank, Brady Crank, and Caden Carmichael.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Friday, January 28, 2022, at the Sugar Grove Christian Church with Bro. Francis Nash officiating. 

Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 29, at Machpelah Cemetery, 600 E Locust St., Mt. Sterling, KY.

Friends may visit from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, January 28, 2022, at the Sugar Grove Christian Church, 3841 Stepstone Rd., Owingsville, KY.

Joe Thompson, Kenneth Garrett, Randy Coyle, Jose’ Reyna, Tommy Hogge, Bobby Clay Webb, Jeff Oldfield, and Alton Stull III will serve as pallbearers.

Woody Stull, Mike Gabbard, Richard Willoughby, Bo McGuire, Tim Lyons, Alton Stull Jr., Phil Stull, Tony Donithan, and Tom Oldfield are named as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made in Audria’s memory, to Duvall & Moore Funeral Home.
