1927 - 2020

Mrs. Audrey Edna Danner, age 92, went to be with Jesus on Monday, February 17, 2020. Audrey was born in Carter County, December 14, 1927, the only child of Rush Perry and Opal Jewel P’Simer Perry.

As a child Audrey was surrounded by people who loved and cared for her. She loved spending time with grandparents and her favorite aunt and uncle.

At an early age Audrey knew she wanted to follow in the footsteps of her aunt and Grandfather, who were teachers. Audrey became a teacher and spent many happy years teaching in Carter County.  She always said she loved teaching and loved her “little darlings” that she spent her days with.

Audrey was always an outdoor person who loved her flowers, birds and nature.  She loved going to places that sold flowers and finding something new to add to her collection of pretty flowers.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, Audrey was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Almirantes; and her grandson, Jason Danner.

Left here to treasure her memory, Audrey is survived by her daughter, Shirley Danner; her son, Emmett Danner; one brother, Charles Bond; one sister-in-law, Patricia Bond; two grandchildren, Paula Rachelle Black, and Eddie Wayne Danner; twelve great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to these, she also leaves behind a host of family and friends who will greatly miss her.

Audrey loved her family, friends, and neighbors. Even as she got older and could no longer visit in person, she made a special effort to keep in touch with phone calls and cards for special occasions.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 2:00PM at Duvall & Moore Funeral Home with Bro. Darryl Garvin officiating.  Burial will follow at P’Simer Cemetery in on Rt. 2 in Olive Hill, KY.

Friends may visit from 6:00 to 9:00pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
