Angela Dawn Barker, 52, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest Sunday morning, March 29, 2026, at her residence. She was born August 22, 1973, in Ashland, KY to Sonja Mauk Barker and the late Raymond Barker.

Angela will be remembered for the simple, beautiful life she built with her hands and her heart.  She found joy in tending her garden, preserving its harvest through canning, and sharing the fruits of her labor with those she loved.  A gifted and creative spirit, Angela expressed herself through sewing and countless handmade projects.

She cherished time spent with her son, Garrett, especially helping him with school projects – moments filled with memories.  Angela also had a love for travel, embracing new places and experiences.

A true animal lover, Angela, had a special fondness for puppies and a deep bond with her beloved donkey, Jack, who was always a comforting presence in her life.  Her legacy lives on in the care she gave, the creativity she shared, and the love she poured into her family and the world around her.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joe and Wilma Mauk; and her paternal grandparents, Burl and Dora Barker.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her partner of thirty years and the father of her son, Kenny Middleton; her son, Jonathan Garrett Middleton, three sisters, Freida (Rick) Kiser, Kim (Roger) Dickerson, and Lesia (John) Gilbert; two brothers, David (Rachel) Barker and Darren (Kelli) Barker; her sister-in-law, Kelli (G.C.) Erwin; and her in-laws, John and Ruby Middleton. In addition to these, she leaves behind a host of other family and friends who will greatly miss her.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Duvall and Moore Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Bro. Bobby Day officiating. Burial will follow at the Riggs Cemetery.

Friends may visit 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Wednesday, April 1, 2026, and 9:00 AM until the time of service, Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Duvall and Moore Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY.
