Alfreda Holbrook Cox, age 89, of Olive Hill, KY passed away peacefully Monday morning, February 24, 2025. She was born May 21, 1935, in Carter County, KY, the daughter of the late William and Eva Holbrook of Olive Hill, KY.

Alfreda was of the Christian faith.  She was a good mom and cared for others, and her granddogs.  She prayed daily and enjoyed taking care of babies.  She worked as a realtor in Mansfield but  stayed home as a homemaker after that.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Wayne Cox; one son-in-law, Glennis Trent; one sister, Trita Holbrook; five brothers, Paris Holbrook, Johnny Holbrook, Loren Holbrook, Carl Holbrook, and Tracy Holbrook; and one grandson, Wyatt Vance.

Alfreda is survived by two daughters, Debra Trent, and Donna (Tommy) Reynolds, both of Olive Hill; one brother, Clyde Holbrook, of Olive hill; one grandson, Aaron (Sheena) Vance; two great grandchildren, Dillon Vance, and Jackson Vance; and two great-great grandchildren, Emmie and Elsie Vance.

A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Olive Hill Memorial Park, with Bro. Gary Sparks officiating.

Family may visit 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
