Marvin Warren Shockey

1936-2017

Marvin Warren Shockey, age 80, of Olive Hill, KY, entered into rest Monday evening, January 23, 2017 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY.  Mr. Shockey was born on September 3, 1936 in Catlettsburg, KY.

Marvin was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Shockey; his wife, Betty Shockey and one son, Bob Shockey. He is survived by one son, Marvin Shockey Jr and wife Gina; three grandchildren, Shawna Shockey, Christy Lynn Shockey and Abby Shockey; three great-grandchildren, Nicole Collier, Kaylee Bates and Aleeya Runyon; and one brother-in-law, Glenn Farrow. Marvin was also a godfather to Hannah Bailes and Eli Maloy.

Per his request, Mr. Shockey will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 149 Whitt Street, Olive Hill, KY 41164. 

I am surrounded by the pure white light of God, nothing but good shall come to me. Nothing but good shall go from me.
