Jimmie Arthur Duncan, 82 of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest Saturday evening June 15, 2019 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. He was born November 3, 1936 in White settlement, TX a son of the late Arthur "Bud" and Alma White Duncan.
Jimmie Retired as a Sergeant after 20 years of service in the United States Army, having served in Germany during the Korean Conflict as a Photographer. After his military career he worked in private security and volunteered most of his free time with the V.A. Hospital in Huntington, WV and in Dallas-Fort Worth TX. He was of the Church of God Faith and a member of the VFW POST 3705 in Grayson, KY. In addition to his volunteer work Jimmie loved Photography, going out to eat, Little Debbie Honeybuns and spending time with his family and beloved cat, Rosie.
In addition to his parent he was preceded in death by his son Alan Duncan and one brother, Robert “Bob” Duncan
He is survived by his Loving companion and wife Phyllis Webb Duncan; two step daughters, Joyce Roark and Lora Gilliam of Olive Hill, KY; four grandchildren, Amber Conn, Brittany Roark, Dalton Roark and Thomas Gilliam and seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of friends that will sadly mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be conducted 7:00 PM Tuesday June 18, 2019 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Private burial will follow in the Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery Northeast in Grayson, KY at a later date.
